Christina Ohmer School House Yoga Studio

Christina Ohmer

Christina encourages students to be curious and explore their mind, body and heart on and off the mat. This self-exploration and the use of one’s own breath rhythm as the soundtrack for the practice can help cultivate a deeper awareness and inner listening.  She teaches asana with emphasis on application for daily living, and incorporates somatic movement, restorative yoga, meditation, breathwork, and classical yoga teachings into her classes.

Since coming to the mat in 2002, Christina has explored different yoga styles and has come across valuable teachers and friendships.  In 2010, she earned her 200-hour yoga teaching certificate with Tias and Surya Little at Prajna Yoga in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Most recently in the summer of 2022, she completed Prajna Yoga’s SATYA (Sensory Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement) training, which is a somatic movement modality that complements yoga asana.  She is a student at heart and continues her studies with various teachers.

Christina is enlivened by connecting with others and finds the yoga practice to be one of the most rewarding, enriching, and often challenging pieces of her life.  For these reasons, she is drawn to share the practice and hopes you will join her soon!
